Sarah Wilson is currently an elementary band and orchestra teacher for the Douglas County School District and is the current substitute principal flute player for the Castle Rock Orchestra. A recent transplant to the Denver area, Sarah received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Toledo (Ohio). After college, Sarah went on to teach band, orchestra, choir and general music in the Toledo Public School District. Sarah has studied conducting under Brant Karrick and flute under Amy Heritage and Joel Tse of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Katie Jones , Kaye Clements and Amy Porter. Sarah has performed at many regional and national music conferences such as the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic and the Ohio Music Educator’s Association Conference. She has performed with the Ohio Capital Winds and played in several bands and orchestras in the Columbus and Toledo areas. Sarah has worked behind the scenes for Bands of America, the Midwest Clinic and OMEA. When she’s not conducting or playing in the RMFC, Sarah loves to spend time with her husband and 2 year old son.
